The short version
without the hype.
These answers describe the current concept and roadmap honestly. Where a decision is not final, we say so.
What is Synais?
Synais is a hardware-wallet concept focused on calm, legible self-custody and on-device transaction review.
Is it available now?
No. It is an early-access prototype concept, not a shipping product.
Which assets and networks will be supported?
Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana are planned targets shown in the concept. Final support depends on firmware and app readiness.
Does Synais hold my funds?
No. A hardware wallet is intended to help you control keys; assets remain on their networks.
What happens if I lose the device?
Use your offline recovery backup with a compatible replacement. Never share that backup with support.
Can Synais recover my wallet?
No. If the recovery backup is lost, Synais cannot recreate it.
Does Synais know my recovery phrase?
It should not. The phrase is intended to be generated, displayed, and restored on the device only.
Can I use it without the companion app?
The final offline experience is not defined. The target flow uses a companion app for preparation and the device for approval.
Is the firmware open source?
That decision and roadmap are not finalized.
Is there a secure element?
No secure-element claim is established by this prototype.
How will firmware updates work?
Update signing, verification, and distribution are launch targets that will be documented before release.
Can I use it with a phone?
Phone support is a targeted experience, not a compatibility promise today.
What does the waitlist do?
The waitlist submits your email to the Synais server, stores it for early-access communications, and sends a confirmation when transactional email delivery is configured.
Where can I get support?
Visit the support center. Early-access channels will be announced as the program develops.
How do I report a vulnerability?
Use the future early-access reporting channel announced by Synais. Do not include recovery phrases or private keys.
